In recent years, the developments of waterfront sub-centers in metropolitandistricts like Tokyo & Osaka have been remarkably advanced, and in viewpoint of effective utilization together with underground construction, installation of common joint ditch have been active by using huge box culvert. Thus, perfect sealing per-formance is strongly required onto the joint of box culvert.
Up to now, waterproofing has been made with butyl rubber or sponge rubber. But water leakage has sometimes happened by flooring of water-proofing tape or gap and misalignment of box culvert in calibrating base line and internal face fitting. So the adequate sealing materials to satisfy such perfect sealing has been eagerly desired.
Our New TS Seal, is made mainly with hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene and contains liquefied prepolymer as curing agent (hardener). Not to tell the water resistance, but the heat resistance in the workshop on the ground, weatherability & chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, show high excellency, and moreover, by its high flexible return, TS Seal can prevent water leak even in the joint part shear by crustal movement or vibration.
Together with the advancement of precasting of structures for underground construction, its mechanism and features of those structures are progressing.
Our New TS Seal have been getting high evaluation including construction technique. We are still making further betterment, improve-ment and refinement.
